Washing up, tidying bedrooms, folding clothes… sometimes the jobs at home can feel never-ending.

But how many of these jobs do YOU actually do?

Maybe you get pocket money for doing chores or perhaps some jobs, like tidying your bedroom, you just have to do because... that's how it is.

A new survey has been asking parents about the chores that their children do... or don't do.

So we want to know if you help out at home, and what do, if anything, do you get in return? Take part in our vote and let us know what you think in the comments.

The survey of 6,000 parents, by the charity ParentKind - suggests that while lots of children do help out at home, how much they do varies by how old they are, and even by where they live.

For instance the parents asked said that about a third of teenagers aged 14–15 don't regularly tidy their bedrooms, but that nearly one in three of 4-5 year olds already help clean up at home.

It also found that children in London were twice as likely to take out the bins than children in regions such as Yorkshire, the South West, the North East and the East of England.

Some of the most common chores mentioned were making a bed, washing up and putting the dishes away, laying the table, making dinner or putting the bins out.

Some experts say that helping out at home doesn't just keep things tidy – it can also help children feel more confident, independent and even better at talking to other people.

All that from just stacking the dishwasher!

So let us know if you help out at home: Do you tidy your own room – or is it more like a jungle of socks? Do you help with meals and feel like a junior chef?

Or do you think chores are just too boring to bother with?
