Rugby League in Las Vegas: Here's what you need to know about the 2025 event

Las Vegas is usually known for its dazzling lights, world-class entertainment and natural wonders but what about....Rugby League?

It is a moment that many Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves supporters have been waiting for.

Rugby League is returning to Last Vegas for the second year in a row for an historic four-game event including two English teams.

Here's everything you need to know.

Which games are being played?

The event will bring together NRL (Australasian rugby league), UK Super League and women's international games.

The games will all be held on Saturday 1 March in Las Vegas.

Here are the games and times (for those in the UK):

  • Super League - Wigan Warriors vs Warrington Wolves (9.30pm, Saturday 1 March)

  • NRL - Canberra Raiders vs New Zealand Warriors (12am, Sunday 2 March)

  • Test Match - Australian Jillaroos vs England Women (2am, Sunday 2 March)

  • NRL - Penrith Panthers vs Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (4.30am, Sunday 2 March)

Where are the games being played?

The event will take place at the Allegiant Stadium located in Paradise, Nevada.

It has a huge capacity of up to 65,000 people.

You may recognise the stadium as it is home of NFL side Las Vegas Raiders.

It has also hosted other major worldwide events including the Super Bowl and WWE WrestleMania.

How many tickets have been sold?

Last year there were some conflicting figures when it came to attendance.

Initially NRL said there were just over 40,000 people watching at the stadium, but the Las Vegas Stadium Authority corrected that to under 40,000.

This year however officials believe that a crowd approaching 50,000 could be inside the stadium.

Why are these rugby league games being played in Las Vegas?

The Australasian rugby league, the NRL, held matches in Las Vegas for the first time last year.

After seeing the success of this, the UK Super League decided to get involved with an historic event of its own.

Andrew Abdo, NRL Chief Executive, said it will be a "bigger, bolder and better festival of Rugby League".

Playing in Las Vegas offers a big chance to attract international supporters to the sport.
