K-pop music has skyrocketed in popularity over the years with millions of fans worldwide, and one special soundtrack has been making waves in the music world in recent weeks.

The soundtrack from the animated film, KPop Demon Hunters, debuted at number 8 in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart in the US last week.

Since then it has been climbing and is now at number 3.

This makes it the highest charting position for a soundtrack so far this year, beating the Wicked film soundtrack, which reached number 4 in January.

The film has been a huge success since its release on streaming platform Netflix just over two weeks ago, racking up millions of views.

But its catchy tunes have become the star of the show, with songs like 'Golden' from fictional girl group Huntr/x and 'Your Idol' by boy band Saja Boys finding success on the Spotify charts.

'Golden' has now been released as a single by Republic Records.

The Saja Boys are the highest charting male K-pop group in US Spotify history, passing K-pop superstars BTS.

The KPop Demon Hunter's soundtrack has now become the highest charting soundtrack for an animated film since Encanto in 2022.

The movie follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey who are the three members of a superstar girl group with a pretty cool twist...they're secret demon hunters.

They protect their fans from supernatural dangers with their powerful music.

During Huntr/x concerts, their music is used to protect the human world from the forces of darkness.

But rival band the Saja Boys, who are demons in disguise, are their arch enemies.

Jinu, Abby, Romance, Baby, and Mystery have been sent by demon king Gwi-ma to steal the souls of Huntr/x's fans.
