Prince William talks to President Obama about poaching

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived to cheers from crowds in New York.

The royal couple are in the United States for a three day visit, where they will tour the east coast.

William's engagements include meeting US President Barack Obama and speaking at an event about protecting endangered animals from poaching.

Kate will visit a children's centre in New York and help to wrap Christmas presents with volunteers there.

They'll also soak up some sporting action at a NBA Basketball match between the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers, where they're expected to meet Beyonce and Jay Z.
