Stowaway Malaysian snake found in Ipswich is re-homed

A stowaway mangrove snake found in Norfolk has been re-homed by the RSPCA.

This species of snake is not native to the UK, and is usually found slithering around in Malaysia.

But this lucky snake had crept into a pile of wood headed for Norfolk and woke up 6,000 miles from its home!

The snake was nursed back to health by the RSPCA and is being re-homed at a wildlife park.

The mangrove snake is a favourite of Deadly 60 presenter Steve Backshall, who called it "one of the prettiest snakes on the planet".

Jenny has been finding out more about this one...
