Coronavirus: What is a contact tracing app and how does it work?

The new contact tracing app hopes to help in the fight to control coronavirus.

Its job is to try and build up a map of people who have the virus and the people they have come into contact with.

Then healthcare professionals can contact the people and advise them on the best thing to do.
