Libya floods: BBC correspondent Anna Foster reports from Derna

Aid is beginning to arrive to help people living in Derna, but conditions mean not enough medicines and shelter are arriving yet to meet the needs of those who need it.

The United Nations (UN) has called for a $70 million appeal to help the areas of Libya devastated by floods.

It follows a powerful storm which has badly affected the North African country, where the authorities have declared a state of extreme emergency.

BBC reporter Anna Foster explains what it's like now in the city of Derna, where a quarter of the city was destroyed by floodwater.
