BBC's 500 words competition 2024 opens

The BBC's 500 Words competition is now open for 2024.

From now until 8 November, kids can enter a poem or a story and possibly win some prizes, including having your story read out at Buckingham Palace!

Comedian and writer, Lenny Henry, has been to meet some kids in Birmingham to tell them all about it.

He shares his top writing tips for people who want to get involved.
