Firework display lights up Centre Pompidou in Paris
Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang put on an AI-assisted fireworks performance called Le Dernier Carnaval - The Last Carnival - at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
The display, using an artificial intelligence model to create the visual sequences, marks the five-year closure of the Pompidou for renovation.
Spectators were treated to a 20-minute show on Wednesday - including around seven minutes of fireworks, with coloured smoke and bursts of light sound.
The event made sure the cultural centre went out with a bang; "For the first time in its history, the Centre Pompidou's façade becomes a monumental painting" organisers said.
