Maisie Summers-Newton: 'I want to inspire children to get into sport'

Paralympic champion Maisie Summers-Newton has just returned from the Games where she won not just one, but two gold medals - and a bronze - in different swimming events.

Maisie visited the Newsround studio straight after getting back from Paris, and spoke about tackling self-doubt to come out on top.

It's actually Maisie's second appearance on Newsround, after last being on the show when she was 16 - before her Paralympic success.

Since then, she's managed to break records whilst studying for her GCSEs and build a support network around her to help achieve the wins at Paris.

Maisie hopes that this year's Games will inspire lots of children to take up a new sport, and hopefully go on to become the Paralympians of the future.
