How much money was raised for Children in Need this year?

After a day of fundraising around the UK the Children in Need live show took place on Friday night, bringing together lots of famous faces to help raise money for the charity.

There were plenty performances, including a special dance number featuring stars from Strictly and an inspiring version of a Take That classic performed by the Children in Need choir.

This year, the choir included children who've been helped by Children in Need for the very first time.

So far, more than £39 million has been raised to help support young people across the UK, with the total likely to rise further.
