Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour beat top seed Beatriz Corrales of Spain 21-18 21-9 to retain her women's singles title at the Swedish Masters on Sunday.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medallist lifted the trophy without dropping a game in the tournament.

There was also success for Scots Alex Dunn and Adam Hall, who won the boys' doubles title at the Polish Junior International Championships.

The duo beat Germany's Bjorne Geiss and Daniel Seifert in the final.

Badminton Scotland chief executive Anne Smillie said: "I am delighted for Kirsty. That was just the start to the year that she wanted.

"Well done, too, to Alex and Adam. Winning this title is a great way to start the year."
