Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer to CBS before the start of the second half: "We've got to keep attacking the ball, because we feel we're going to get the ball back.

"It's going to be a four-quarter battle, but we've got a lot of confidence and I like our chances."

And as for the Cowboys, after fighting back to beat Philadelphia last week, a win against the team the Eagles beat in last season's Super Bowl would really put them in the play-off hunt.

The Packers' win at Detroit earlier gives them the edge over the Lions and helps them keep the pressure on Chicago in the NFC North, with the Bears facing Philly on Black Friday.

This is why this game is crucial for the Chiefs. They're currently 10th in the standings for the AFC Conference and defeat would leave them two wins behind the Chargers, who second in the AFC West.

The difference is third downs. The Dallas have converted five of eight. That percentage is going to do them justice and allow them to grow.

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid to CBS at half-time: "We've got to get rid of the penalties. We need to make a play in third-down situations and get off the field."

The Chiefs have conceded two penalties for 20 yards while the Dallas offence has converted five out of eight on third down.

THe teams go into the locker rooms for half-time with Dallas responding well to a difficult start - Dak Prescott throwing an early interception and the Chiefs scoring off it right away.

Prescott has been slinging the ball about since then, and they've got their noses in front as a couple costly penalties saw the last couple of Chiefs drives stall.

Dallas look dangerous from anywhere with their receiving corps, while Prescott has delivered in the tight spots - Patrick Mahomes has also played well but just hasn't been able to sustain drives as well.

Work do to for both sides in the second half.

  9. Flags & a Chiefs puntpublished at 23:02 GMT

Plenty of laundry on the field the last few plays with scrappy penalties disrupting the game - Patrick Mahomes wants a flag on a scramble after a hit but nothing doing.

The Chiefs will punt as they're just out of range for Harrison Butker. Just a few second left on the clock but enough for Dallas to run a play if they wish.

The Chiefs were trying to heat up Dak Prescott but he delivered. He still found a way to make the throw.

The Cowboys' confidence is real. They're starting to see things that they saw on film.

Touchdown - Cowboys leadpublished at 22:45 GMT

Kansas City Chiefs 14-17 Dallas Cowboys

Wow - quick strike right up the middle as Malik Davis tiptoes through a hole in the middle of the Chiefs defensive line and then turns on the afterburners to beat two defenders desperately trying to get a hand on him and scampers away for a 43-yard touchdown.

Dak Prescott delivered a couple of crucial completions under a lot of pressure on that super impressive drive - going 85 yards in just eight plays and just under three minutes.

Cowboys go ahead for the first time in the game and seem to have all the momentum as we near half-time.

  14. Great playpublished at 22:41 GMT

Kansas City Chiefs 14-10 Dallas Cowboys

Another great completion just when Dallas needed it, with Dak Prescott just about to get collared by Chris Jones but manages to sling a pass to Jake Ferguson again for the first down out to around the 30.

Then a rinse and repeat job for Dak as he gets another quick throw away to George Pickens this time. Dallas really are loaded with receiving talent.

  15. Chiefs puntpublished at 22:37 GMT

Kansas City Chiefs 14-10 Dallas Cowboys

First punt of the game after the Chiefs just play it safe with a screen pass on third down needing 26 yards to move the chains following the sack.

It's basically a play to just gain a few yards with the hope of a few more if defenders miss a block, but the Cowboys are solid enough.

Patrick Mahomes scampers about for what feels like an age before he's finally rbought down by Jadeveon Clowney - who you may remember is a former number one overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Might have been a bit of the sun again shining in Mahomes' eyes, because he held the ball for so long you'd think he'd have found a target to throw to or would at least just throw it away and avoid losing yards.

Travis Kelce has still got moves, as he drops a shoulder to get himself open so Patrick Mahomes can complete a 22-yard pass into the sunlight at AT&T Stadium around midfield.

After following the Chiefs for over 30 years and just hoping to make it past the wildcard round, we’ve had 3 once-in-a-lifetime events in the last few years. Strangely this team feels it has more potential than the one from last year. Mind you, I thought our best side of recent years is the one that fell to the Bengals in the AFC Championship.
