England women will face either West Indies or New Zealand in the semi-finals of the Twenty20 World Cup.
The winner of Monday's Group A game between Charlotte Edwards's England and Australia will meet New Zealand, while the loser will have a last-four encounter with West Indies.
Stafanie Taylor led West Indies to the semi-finals with ease as they beat South Africa by 10 wickets in Group B.
New Zealand earned their place with an eight-wicket victory over Sri Lanka.
England will be looking to lay down a marker when they face defending champions Australia in Galle.
"They are a very strong side and we have had some tough matches against them. We seem to come out on top, though," said England spinner Holly Colvin.
"We feel like we have got one up on them at the moment, but we want to make sure we beat them to get another one over them, especially in case we meet them in the final.
"We are really confident. We have had a really good run coming in to this tournament anyway, so to have three wins out of three - including our warm-up game - is great."
Taylor took three wickets and hit an unbeaten 33 to help West Indies chase down a modest 71 target set by South Africa on Sunday.
Sri Lanka's batting capitulation in the other Group B encounter led them to post a poor 89, which was easily chased down by a strong New Zealand side.
The semi-finals take place on Thursday 4 October and Friday 5 October.
The BBC's Test Match Special will have ball-by-ball commentary on the semi-finals and final of the ICC Women's World Twenty20, with live text commentary on the BBC Sport website.
