Fast bowler Andy Carter has been recalled by Nottinghamshire after three Championship games on loan for Glamorgan.

Carter has claimed 12 wickets after being signed as cover for Michael Hogan, who returned from a hamstring injury in the draw against Derbyshire.

"I wanted to play first-team cricket," Carter told the Notts website.

"They gave that opportunity at a time when all of the Nottinghamshire bowlers were fit."

Glamorgan head coach Toby Radford had been keen to extend Carter's time with the county, but he is now included in the Notts squad to face Durham.

"I've been focussed on doing well for Glamorgan and I know Notts have been watching the matches and they wanted me to find form and fitness. It worked out well for all three parties," Carter added

Glamorgan start their fourth championship game away to Kent on Sunday.

All-rounder David Lloyd and spinner Andrew Salter are added to the team which faced Derby in the 12 man squad for the match at Canterbury.
