Hampshire's West Indies fast bowler Fidel Edwards is keen to tie up a longer-term deal with the county.
The 33-year-old is currently on a short-term Kolpak deal and is due to return in July after commitments in the Caribbean Premier League.
He took 5-58 as Hampshire recorded their first County Championship win of the season against Sussex on Tuesday.
"Hopefully we can extend the deal for the next couple of years, that's my aim," Edwards told BBC Radio Solent.

Fidel Edwards took 165 wickets in 55 Tests between 2003 and 2012, with best figures of 7-87 against New Zealand at Napier in 2008. He also played for West Indies in 50 one-day internationals and 20 T20 games. |
He has taken 13 first-class wickets in three matches for Hampshire since arriving earlier than planned in May as injury cover for overseas fast bowler Jackson Bird, but will play the final match of his current spell against Kent in the T20 Blast on Friday.
"I'd love to play as long as I can," he added.
"Hampshire have had some West Indian greats play for them in the past and hopefully I can follow in their footsteps and join the bunch."
