Danny Hylton gave Aldershot victory over League Two strugglers Barnet.
Anthony Charles came close to giving the Shots the lead with a looping header before his short backpass almost let Mark Marshall in for the Bees.
Home goalkeeper Jamie Young pulled off a superb save from Mark Byrne before Peter Vincenti and Hylton both spurned good chances.
Hylton slotted home after a Vincenti through ball before Matty Parsons saw red for the visitors for two bookings.
MANAGER QUOTES
Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey:
"You have to give Barnet some credit. They closed us down, got in our faces, and stopped us playing.
"I went in at half-time and have a bit of a word and asked them a few questions. Thankfully we came out a different side.
"There's still so much more to come. From individuals and as a team. I still don't think we're near where we can get to, but we're winning games while we're doing it."
