Crewe 0-1 Morecambe

Kevin Ellison's 10th goal of the season ended Morecambe's eight-game winless run as they secured a hard-fought win against Crewe Alexandra.

Crewe went close to scoring but Lee Bell's free-kick and Ashley Westwood's shot were both saved by Barry Roche.

The visitors went ahead with their first shot of the game as Ellison fired a deflected Andy Parrish cross in from close range.

Both sides had chances to score after the break but the Shrimps held on.
