Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has appointed former Doncaster Rovers and Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll as first-team coach.

The pair played together at Bournemouth and O'Driscoll, 54, has initially joined until the end of the season.

Cotterill said: "I'm delighted. Sean and I go back a long way."

O'Driscoll had been helping out at Plymouth Argyle, external, but only in an advisory role.

Cotterill added: "He's available after leaving Doncaster in September, so compensation isn't an issue, and I've no doubts he will be a great addition to my backroom team."
