Luton Town have increased their striking options by signing prolific Andre Gray from Blue Square Bet North club Hinckley United.

The 20-year-old has initially joined on loan, but will complete a £30,000 move to Kenilworth Road in the summer.

Gray has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season and played against the Hatters in the FA Trophy.

"He gives us exactly what we're lacking right now, a real goal threat," manager Gary Brabin told the club's website., external

"He showed in the two games against us what he's all about - he's quick, strong and direct."

Gray began his career with Shrewsbury Town but was released in 2010 after only four first-team appearances.

Brabin added: "He's got an enormous amount of potential to be a very good player in the future.

"It's not just his goal record and speed that stands out but also his work-rate; he never gives defences a moment's rest."
