Mansfield appoint midfielder Adam Murray as assistant boss

Mansfield Town captain Adam Murray has been appointed as the club's new assistant manager.
The 30-year-old midfielder will combine his playing duties with the coaching role following Micky Moore's decision not to stay with the Stags.
Moore was offered a one-year deal but is returning to teaching.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old goalkeeper Shane Redmond, who made only one start last season, has extended his contract with the Stags by a further year.
Speaking about Murray's new role as assistant boss, manager Paul Cox told the club website:, external "I have a good working relationship with Adam. He is excited about the role and can't wait to get started."
