A Tom Pope brace ensured Port Vale came back from 1-0 down to defeat Wycombe.

Joel Grant's penalty put the Chairboys ahead after Bruno Andrade was felled by John McCombe but they saw Jo Kuffour sent off for a second bookable offence.

Vale equalised when Ben Williamson slotted home, before League Two top scorer Pope powered home a header from Jennison Myrie-Williams's delivery.

Pope then grabbed his 15th of the season when he headed in and Ashley Vincent fired home their fourth.

Vale could have scored even more against a tiring Wycombe defence, including when Williamson fired wide despite being allowed time and space in the box.

Vale's victory extends their unbeaten run to six games and cements their second place in League Two, seven points clear of Fleetwood in third.

Meanwhile Wycombe's defeat ends their run of three wins in a row and means they sit in 20th place.
