Harry Redknapp: QPR must improve before transfer window

New Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp claims he may not enter the transfer market in January if the club are still stranded at the foot of the Premier League.
QPR remain in search of their first league win of the season after the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in Redknapp's first home game in charge.
"If you are still adrift in January what is the point?" he said.
"If that was the case I would advise the owners not to spend their money."
Brett Holman fired Villa into an early lead from 20 yards, but Jamie Mackie headed QPR level before the interval and they created the better opportunities to finally secure three points.
However, QPR are still three points adrift at the bottom of the table and seven points from safety.
"What are you going to do - load yourself with more big wages?" he said.
"If we are in touching distance then I'm sure we will have a go and get one or two in but they can't keep spending their money and upping the wage bill.
"You've got to see where you are in January. If you are in touching distance then maybe you can go and get a couple in who can make the difference and get out of it that way. If we can do that then maybe we will have a go.
"We are OK in some positions but desperately short in others. We are short of centre-halves."
Former Spurs manager Redknapp, 65, was pleased with his new team's performance, but admitted the search for that first victory must end soon as they prepare to travel to Wigan next weekend.
"I thought there was only one team going to win today," said Redknapp. "When they took the lead early I thought: 'We're in trouble here,' but after that I thought we created all the chances."
Midfielder Stephane Mbia was taken to hospital after being leaving the field on a stretcher following an accidental first-half collision with Gabriel Agbonlahor.
"He's got a bit of a neck injury, but he shouldn't be too bad," Redknapp added.
