Gillingham maintained their lead at the top of League Two with a comfortable win over Bristol Rovers.
The Gills went ahead inside three minutes when Chris Whelpdale shot into the top right corner after good work from Myles Weston.
Deon Burton doubled the visitors' lead, lifting the ball over his marker before volleying into the bottom corner.
The home side dominated possession in the second-half, but were unable to worry a stubborn Gillingham defence.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Gillingham boss Martin Allen told BBC Radio Kent:
"Defensively, the way they defended our goal was fantastic.
"Was it spectacular? No. Was it beautiful? No. Everyone did their job in our team.
"The teamwork, ethic and commitment to play in a team to make us hard to break down was pretty good.
"Whelpdale's goal was brilliant, we've got some match winners here, people who will get you those goals and we've also got a unity, men committed to the club."
