Ebbsfleet struck four times in the first 30 minutes as they thrashed Southport and boosted their hopes of Blue Square Bet Premier survival.

Liam Bellamy rifled home on six minutes and Stefan Payne headed home Joe Howe's cross six minutes later.

It was 3-0 inside 15 minutes when Ashley Carew crossed for Nathan Elder, who then set up Matt Godden for a close-range finish.

Chris Almond scored a consolation goal for the visitors after the interval.
