Long-serving Ritchie Humphreys leaves Hartlepool United

Hartlepool United have released veteran Ritchie Humphreys after 12 years at Victoria Park.
The 35-year-old joined Pools from Cambridge in July 2001 and went on to make 544 appearances, becoming the club's record appearance maker., external
He also scored 37 goals, and was voted Player of the Century by supporters in 2008, the club's centenary year.
Humphreys was also a League One play-off finalist with Pools in 2005, losing to hometown club Sheffield Wednesday.
He also helped the club to promotion from League Two in 2007 and celebrated a testimonial with a match against Sunderland in August 2011., external
