Wrexham sign winger Theo Bailey-Jones

Winger Theo Bailey-Jones has joined Wrexham on a six-month contract following an extended trial period with the club last season.

Bailey-Jones, 19, was with Irlam FC last season and also trained with Birmingham City at the end of the campaign.

A Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra schoolboy he also had a spell at Northwich Victoria.

Assistant boss Billy Barr said Bailey-Jones has impressed during his trial.

"Theo initially trained with the the youth team last season and he impressed [coach] Joey Jones," Barr told Wrexham's official website., external

"On the back of that we included him with the first team and not only were we pleased with what we saw the players also agreed.

"He had the offer to train with Birmingham City and they seemed interested to take it further.

"The player himself enjoyed his time with us and that seems to have swayed him to accepting our offer."
