Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws has said winger Mark Duffy could be sold before the end of the summer transfer window.
After turning down an offer from Doncaster Rovers, Iron boss Laws admitted the 27-year-old was the subject of interest from several clubs.
He told the club website:, external "It was a derisory offer which we turned down and I think they would have expected us to.
"However the interest is very much there. If the right figure comes along we will not stand in his way."
Laws said he would be "pleasantly surprised" if former Morecambe midfielder Duffy was still in a Scunthorpe shirt on the opening day of the season.
"Once it becomes public knowledge that Doncaster have made a move it will spark more interest," he said.
"We know what the situation is and the player himself is also aware of the situation."
