Wrexham complete signing of Junior N'Tame on six-month deal

Wrexham have signed Cameroon-born defender Junior N'Tame on a six-month contract.

But N'Tame, 28, will not be available for Tuesday's Conference Premier match against newly-promoted Halifax Town.

He is a free agent and needs international clearance to play for the Welsh club.

"We've signed him permanently on a six-month contract, he's a lad that our keeper Joslain Mayebi knows," Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell said.

"We brought him over in pre-season training, he had a couple of games and did great for us.

"I thought he was going to be out of our price range to start with, but we've managed to negotiate something and he's happy and he's signed the paperwork to be with us until Christmas."

Morrell hopes that N'Tame's international clearance might arrive in time for him to play in Saturday's Conference Premier game at Tamworth.

Wrexham are also hopeful of signing former Bristol Rovers striker Joe Anyinsah and plan further talks with the 28-year-old on Wednesday.

Striker Brett Ormerod, who has a broken bone in his hand, will miss the trip to Halifax, while Bradley Reid will have a fitness test on his ankle injury ahead of the game.

Wrexham began their Conference Premier campaign with a 2-1 home win over newly-promoted Welling United.
