Forest Green Rovers convincingly beat Lincoln City to record a third straight home victory.

James Norwood put the hosts in front with a powerful shot before Paul Green headed home against his former side.

Chris Sharp gave the visitors hope from Andrew Boyce's cross and Boyce almost levelled the scores but saw his header come back off the bar.

The hosts wrapped it up with Norwood scoring his second on the break before Jamie Turley sealed it.

"We shot ourselves in the foot. Up until them getting the third goal we completely bossed the game, we dominated.

"We've tried every kind of striker that we've got, put every single one on. We've tried to go for it, we've been pressing and creating chance after chance but we're just not taking them.

"Today we've been punished on the break and it's frustrating. After the third goal it was as if it became too easy for them and I wasn't too happy with that because the one thing we want to do is keep going to the very end."
