Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson will continue signing talks with Prince Buaben after the midfielder scored in a 3-0 friendly win over East Fife.

Buaben's fellow trialist Osman Sow also hit the net as the Scottish Championship side won 3-0 at Bayview, with Gary Oliver also on target.

"Talks are progressing nicely," said Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson.

"We're close to getting something sorted which will see Prince run out in a Hearts shirt next season."

Ghana international Buaben, 26, previously played in Scotland with Dundee United and Partick Thistle and has also had spells with Watford and Carlisle United.

He featured in Hearts' recent riendly matches against Dinamo Bucuresti and Hamilton Academical and also trained with the Tynecastle squad in Chester.

"I've been impressed in the manner in which Prince has handled himself since joining up with the squad," Neilson told the Hearts website.

"He's a hard trainer and has obvious talent. He brings experience to the side.

"I'd like him to come on board and we've been trying to set up a deal. Fingers crossed it'll happen soon."

Neilson also took the opportunity to have a look at Swedish striker Sow, who was with Crystal Palace last season.

"Osman is still being assessed at the moment," added the former Hearts and Dundee United defender.

"He was given good reports by people we know, and we saw some DVDs and footage which looked promising.

"I wanted to get him over as soon as possible so I could see him in the flesh, and assess his character, and he'll stay with us for the next few days while we make a decision."

"I thought he did fantastically well today, we'll have a chat with him and get him in training and take it from there."
