Stoke duo Adam Thomas and Alex Grant join Macclesfield on loan

Alex Grant was previously at Portsmouth before joining Stoke in 2013

Macclesfield Town have signed Stoke City duo Adam Thomas and Alex Grant on loan until the end of December.

The 20-year-olds are part of Stoke's Under-21 squad but neither has yet made a senior appearance for the club.

Manchester-born defender Grant played once in the League Cup for Portsmouth before joining Stoke in 2013, while winger Thomas was previously part of the youth team squad at Everton.

Macclesfield, unbeaten in the Conference, face Eastleigh on Saturday.
