Hibernian: Wales midfielder Owain Tudur Jones leaves Easter Road

Owain Tudur Jones is a free agent after being released by Scottish Championship side Hibernian

Hibernian have confirmed they have released Welsh international midfielder Owain Tudur Jones.

The 29-year-old arrived at Easter Road in May 2013 and made 19 appearances.

Jones had previously enjoyed a successful two-year spell with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

"Everybody at the club would like to wish Owain all the best as he embarks on the next chapter of his career," Hibs said in a statement on their official website.

Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs bolstered his squad on transfer deadline day with the signings of Dylan McGeouch and Jake Sinclair on loan from Celtic and Southampton.
