Cheltenham Town have signed Peterborough midfielder Kane Ferdinand on a two-month loan deal.

The 22-year-old joined Posh on a four-year deal from Southend in 2012, on a fee rising to £500,000.

He has made 14 appearances for the League One club this season and has previously had loan spells at Northampton and Luton.

"I've finally got him having asked plenty of times," Robins manager Mark Yates told the club website., external

"He is a goal threat, he can play in a few different positions and he is a good size.

"He has played in the Championship and he is hungry to play games and help us out, so I am really delighted to bring him in."

Ferdinand, a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, is the cousin of defenders Rio and Anton - at QPR and Reading respectively - and former Tottenham striker Les.
