Jay Harris' 46th minute strike was his first goal for Wrexham in 2014-15
Jay Harris scored his first goal of the season as Wrexham recorded a first win in the Conference since November with a 1-0 away win at strugglers Southport.
Midfielder Harris fired a low shot in off the post from 25-yards out to give the Dragons the lead just a minute into the second half.
It leaves the Sandgrounders one place and four points above the relegation zone.
Kevin Wilkin's side remain 12th, six points off the play-off places.
"I thought the goal really settled us down in the second half," said Wilkin.
"We had a spell there when really we should have put the game to bed.
"But we stayed strong and there weren't many moments in the second half when they've had opportunities."
