Kidderminster Harriers 0-1 Southport

  • Published

Luke George's stunning second-half strike earned victory for Southport against in-form Kidderminster Harriers.

The visitors had goalkeeper David Raya to thank for keeping the score level at the break, as he twice produced excellent saves to deny Marvin Johnson.

George then scored the game's only goal on 66 minutes with a fierce shot into the top corner from all of 25 yards.

Raya was needed again to save from Jake Green late on but his side held on to earn a second consecutive away win.

The Sandgrounders' victory at Aggborough ended Harriers' three-match winning run.
