"Steve Kittrick said he was keen to get back into management after leaving Guiseley in September last year, but only when the right job came along. |
"He joins Telford with a good track record, having guided Guiseley to within touching distance of the Conference Premier in recent years and, like his predecessor Liam Watson, Kittrick is a popular manager with a good network of contacts. |
"His priority will be to stay in the Conference, but it is a tough baptism of fire with Telford 13 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the league and with a depleted squad because of injuries. |
Telford chairman Ian Dosser said: "Steve has an excellent track record and clearly likes his teams to play with an eye-catching style."
Kittrick, a board member at rugby league side Wakefield Trinity Wildcats,, external led Guiseley to promotion to Conference North in 2010, before then losing to Telford in the play-off final the following season.
Going into their Christmas fixtures, Telford are bottom of the Conference, with just 14 points, having won just three times in 25 games.
