League Two strugglers York City have signed former Northampton Town striker Emile Sinclair on an 18-month deal.
The 27-year-old was a free agent after having his contract with the Cobblers terminated by mutual consent on Monday.
The former Macclesfield Town and Peterborough United forward had scored one goal in 14 appearances this season before exiting Northampton.
He could make his debut for the Minstermen in Saturday's home game against Burton.
Sinclair told BBC Radio York: "I'm from 25 minutes away but this will be the first time that I've played for a club where I can stay at home.
"It's a good group and I can't wait to get started here."
