Scunthorpe United have signed goalkeeper Joe Anyon on a deal until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who was linked with the Iron's League One rivals Crewe last week, was a free agent after leaving Shrewsbury at the end of last season.

The Iron are short of goalkeeping options after Sam Slocombe and James Severn both suffered broken arms in the 2-0 defeat by Bristol City.

Anyon is likely to be on the bench for Tuesday's game against MK Dons.
