Charlton Athletic have signed Roger Johnson on a deal until the end of the season after the defender terminated his contract at Wolves.

The 31-year-old centre-back was under contract at Molineux until the end of the current campaign.

The ex-Cardiff and Birmingham man had not featured for Wolves since May 2013 and had spells on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham last season.

Johnson has not played any first-team football this season.

The former Wycombe trainee becomes Charlton's second signing since the appointment of Guy Luzon as Addicks head coach and their sixth since the turn of the year.

Midfielder Christophe Lepoint moved to The Valley last month following the additions of Neil Etheridge, Marko Dmitrovic, Tony Watt and Milos Veljkovic earlier in January.
