Nuneaton moved off the bottom of the Conference table as they stunned play-off chasing Gateshead.

Adam Campbell put the hosts ahead with a 31st-minute penalty after Theo Streete fouled Rob Ramshaw.

But Nuneaton, who had not scored in five games, levelled with Andy Brown's 18-yard strike late in the first half.

Brown went close to grabbing his second but Streete did make it 2-1, tapping in after goalkeeper Adam Bartlett saved James Armson's penalty.

Despite the victory, Nuneaton are six points from safety.
