Everton fans looking to travel to Ukraine for their last-16 Europa League tie with Dynamo Kiev should not worry, says boss Roberto Martinez.

Trouble flared at Dynamo's victory over Guingamp in Kiev on Thursday, the game suspended for around 10 minutes.

Everton host the first leg on 12 March before travelling to the conflict-hit country the following week.

Martinez said: "We're going to take every step as it comes and wait for instructions."

Uefa has announced it is opening disciplinary proceedings following the trouble in Kiev.

"At the moment there is a Uefa investigation going on and we don't know any more details from that point of view," added Martinez.

"But I don't think there is anything to worry about at this stage for any of our fans.

"At the moment it is just about concentrating on the first leg and seeing how the investigation goes with Uefa."

The Toffees are Britain's last remaining club in the competition.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Celtic were all eliminated on Thursday.

Defending champions Sevilla were paired with Spanish La Liga rivals Villarreal, while Tottenham's conqueror's Fiorentina face fellow Italians Roma.

Turkish side Besiktas, who beat Liverpool on penalties, take on Club Brugge of Belgium, while Italy's Inter Milan, who beat Celtic, play German side Wolfsburg.

The winners of the 27 May final in Warsaw earn a Champions League spot.
