Seb Usai: Former Blackburn goalkeeper signs for Southport

Seb Usai had 11 goals put past him in four A-League games after making his debut for the now defunct North Queensland Fury in 2011

Southport have signed former Blackburn goalkeeper Seb Usai and released fellow keeper Daniel Lloyd-Weston.

Usai, 24, has joined the Conference strugglers as a free agent until the end of the season.

The Australian failed to make a senior appearance for Rovers and was released by Cowdenbeath in May 2014.

Usai started is professional career with A-League side North Queensland Fury and also previously played for Swedish side AFC United.

Meanwhile, former Port Vale, Cheltenham, Hereford and Kalloni keeper Lloyd-Weston is set to join Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South side Newcastle Town following his release.
