Plymouth Argyle have signed striker Zak Ansah on loan from Charlton Athletic until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, a former Arsenal youngster, was in Ghana's squad for the 2013 Under-20 World Cup.

Ansah has yet to make a league appearance for the Addicks but was an unused substitute for Arsenal in a Champions League tie in 2012.

He is the second Charlton player to join League Two Plymouth on loan, along with wing-back Tareiq Holmes-Dennis.

"He's young and very talented," Argyle manager John Sheridan told BBC Radio Devon. "I watched him on Monday and he's a good, intelligent footballer for his age.

"He lacks a bit of first-team experience, but so did Andy Kellett when he came. Tareiq only played a couple of games at Oxford.

"He'll come in and push the people who are there, we need people up there fighting and competing in the forward areas."
