Plymouth Argyle have agreed to sign Charlton's 19-year-old left-back Tareiq Holmes-Dennis on a youth loan until the end of the season.

The deal will go through when the loan window re-opens on 10 February.

Holmes-Dennis joined Plymouth's League Two rivals Oxford United on loan in October, making 17 appearances before being recalled by Charlton on Monday.

The England youth international could make his Argyle debut when they travel to Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday.

"He played for Oxford against us this season and I really like him," Argyle boss John Sheridan told BBC Radio Devon.

"He's really positive in the way he plays. He's got a bit of pace and he can play left-back, left wing-back and also further up the pitch on the left side, so he's a good addition."
