WSL Team of the Year: Lucy Bronze is sole Liverpool player

Liverpool Ladies ended Arsenal's nine-year domination in 2013, and retained their title last year

Lucy Bronze is the only player from Liverpool's championship-winning side to be selected in the Women's Super League Team of the Year.

The 23-year-old England defender joined Manchester City in the close season after winning back-to-back WSL titles with Liverpool.

WSL runners-up Chelsea provide two players - England striker Eniola Aluko and South Korea midfielder Ji So-Yun.

Two Birmingham City players also feature - Karen Carney and Jo Potter.

They are joined in midfield by fellow England international Jill Scott of Manchester City and Chelsea player Ji.

England full-back Bronze is part of a defence that also features former Notts County centre-half Rachel Corsie, now playing for Seattle Reign, and Arsenal duo Emma Mitchell and Casey Stoney.

Everton striker Nikita Parris, who is on a season-long loan with Manchester City, and Notts County goalkeeper Carly Telford complete the team.

Liverpool Ladies retained the title last year on the final day of the season, beating Chelsea on goal difference.
