The Dons manager said he was looking forward to Quinn "having a positive influence" on the team.

And McInnes added: "I'm delighted to sign Paul, who has been a major influence on Ross County's form in the second half of the season.

"We've watched Paul on several occasions in the last few months and the key qualities he'll bring to the team are his experience, leadership and competitiveness. You cannot have too many leaders on the pitch."

Quinn came through the youth ranks at Fir Park and had a three-year spell at Cardiff City, external and two years at Doncaster before moving to Dingwall last October.

He has made almost 350 appearances in his senior career, scoring 10 goals.
