Stevenage have completed the signing of striker Brett Williams from Aldershot.

Williams is new manager Teddy Sheringham's second recruit, having rejected a new deal with the Shots, for whom he scored 15 goals last season.

The 27-year-old netted a total of 43 goals in 99 appearances for Aldershot, having joined them from Reading on a free transfer in 2013.

"Out of the clubs that were interested in me, Stevenage stood out," Williams told the club's website., external

"With the new manager coming in, that topped it off.

"The experience he's got and where he's played, if I can't learn off him, I can't learn off anyone, so I'm really excited."

Full details of his contract with Boro have not been disclosed.

Williams has also played for Eastleigh and spent time on loan at Rotherham, Northampton Town and Woking.
