League Two club Portsmouth have signed defender Christian Burgess from Peterborough on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Burgess, 23, joins less than a year after the ex-Middlesbrough man signed a four-year deal with Posh.

But he fell out of favour under new manager Dave Robertson and was among seven players put up for sale.

The Teesside University history graduate made 33 appearances and scored four goals last season.
