Matthew Briggs: Colchester United sign former Millwall defender

Matthew Briggs is the youngest player to feature in the Premier League having played for Fulham against Middlesbrough in 2007 aged 16 years and 65 days
League One side Colchester United have signed former loanee Matthew Briggs following his release by Millwall.
The 24-year-old former Fulham left-back played 18 times for the U's last season as they avoided relegation to League Two with a final-day win over Preston.
The Guyana international, let go by Millwall after 12 appearances, has signed a two-year deal with the U's.
He becomes Colchester's third summer signing, following the arrivals of Richard Brindley and Kieran Bailey.
